Museum of Asian Art in Corfu
The Museum of Asian Art is located in the Palace of Saint George and the Archangel Michael in the old town, at the end of Espianada Square.
The museum contains items belonging to the Chinese dynasties Ming Song, Tseu, Han, Wei, Ching; Japanese exhibits, weapons and masks; items from Pakistan, India, Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia, Korea, Thailand and Siam, as well as furniture, portraits, medals, paintings, small items of the Presidents of the Ionian Senate and relics.
The Japanese collection of the Museum of Asian Art contains about 6200 items, most of which date from the 14th to the 19th century. AD Among the exhibits are brass samurai weapons and things, engravings and paintings by famous Japanese artists, ceramic and porcelain works, wood carvings, musical instruments, decorative exhibits, inro and netsuke, theater masks "NO" record boxes (Suzuribaco), dishes and clothes. Museum opening hours: 8.00 - 15.00 (except Mondays). In the summer - until 20.00.
