Beach of St. George (Pagos) in Corfu

The beach of St. George (Pagos) is 35 km away from the city of Corfu and is a long coastline with a sandy beach. The beach of St. George is called Pagos (from the word ice) because even in the hot summer months the water in the bay is quite cool because of the underwater sea springs which affect the water temperature.

The beach of St. George Pagon is also awarded the Blue Flag from the European Union and is very popular with tourists from many countries. In the summer months the sun on the beach rises from 5-6 in the morning and sets at 8 in the evening. Thus providing a unique opportunity for visitors to enjoy the sun, sea and sand for almost 14 hours a day. On the beach in addition to sunbeds and umbrellas you can rent a boat for the day and sail away to secluded beaches that are located next to the main beach. And also on the beach you will find a school with various sea sports for all ages.
